Principal Leadership Program

The Telos Principal Leadership Program complements the supports provided by the school district by providing our participants with a network of like-minded professionals and an executive coach with no administrative ties to their district. This approach creates the safe environment that most effectively accelerates leadership growth.

Principal Leadership Curriculum

Throughout

the year

Principals face challenges similar to those of many CEOs in the private sector, where proven frameworks and strategies  support leaders in every industry sector.

We have selected the best of these frameworks, protocols, and methodologies and adapted them to the specific challenges of school leadership.

Our principals get immediate results by applying these frameworks to real situations by using their actual school data.

Executive Coaching

Monthly

Each principal has a regular dedicated session with an
experience executive coach during which each
principal’s personal leadership growth
objectives are addressed.

Working with a coach from outside the school district allows us to build a confidential and safe space to explore confidential leadership issues.

This is not therapy or a venting session.  This is personalized leadership development resulting in immediately implementable strategies and leadership growth.

Principal Peer Groups

Monthly

Participants are assigned to a professional peer group.  Every month, participating principals meet with a diverse group of peers from different districts, school profiles, and experience levels.

Peer groups are a safe forum to raise the critical leadership challenges facing each member, and to benefit from the collective experience and creativity of talented peers.

Members develop a network of trusted advisors with varied perspectives they can access during meetings and throughout their careers.

""We have not found a single case
of a school improving its student achievement record in the
absence of talented leadership."
